Ditt Inre - Månljus (saknad)
Swedish duo Ditt Inre have released this lovely, dreamy track for free download before their upcoming EP release 'En Värld I Brand' on the Cascine label.
Immediately upon the first listen it reminded me of the outstanding Washed Out track 'Amor Fati'. Månljus (saknad) invokes lush wintery landscapes, a hint of melancholy with an overall warm and romantic feeling. Promising signs for their EP release, which is due to drop May 29.

RAC x Gossip
Remix maestro RAC is back with his own version of the relatively recent Gossip track 'Perfect World'. He continually churns out quality remixes pretty regularly and this one has more of a house sound compared to his usual remixes. Well worth a listen.

Tom Vek x Van She
Sydney siders and synth gurus Van She have come back to finally making/remixing music after a long hiatus after their debut LP 'V'. They have released a promo single titled 'Idea of Happiness' which is leading into the release of their second album to the same name under the Modular label. It is due out on July 6th for those subsiding in Australia (a couple of days later for those in other nations).
When you have an album being released in the near future you need to make sure that people are waiting, wanting and excited about the record. Step in their Modular counterparts Tom Vek where they lend their perfectly capable remixing fingers to weave their own sound into the track. It's not a bad little remix either.

Perseus
Hey hey hey.
I have not written for a long time, but I figure I should express some of my musical findings and thoughts. Perseus has notched up a couple of good remixes as well as a few excellent tracks. I have already posted about Seychelles before, but now it is available with the equally impressive 'Love in Zanzibar'. Have a listen, have a download, be my guest. It is being released on the great French Express label.

Kate Martin - Candle Burnin', Wax Drippin'
'Candle Burnin', Wax Drippin' is a very infectious song by pop/folk singer Kate Martin. Based out of Townsville (NSW), she has released this track to drum up some hype before the release of her sophomore (second) album. After suffering some setbacks in the writing process (family breakdown, lost jobs, boyfriends, rent etc) Kate is about to release her new album 'Hand Me My Bow and Arrow' on March 23. The twinkling of the xylophone is especially nice.

Songs that R fun
I have a gluttony for listening to entire albums. This is evident in looking at the music that I have acquired this year. Everything has been bought/downloaded/borrowed in chunks of entire albums. I feel that there is an exceptional skill in the teasing out of ideas and themes to make work through an entire album. To make an album flow without having any filler or terrible songs is something that I believe is an extraordinary achievement. However, with this obsession of listening to albums, songs that are released as singles are often completely neglected.
With saying that I figured to post a chunk of tracks that I have enjoyed of recent. There will be a few remixes in there for good measure.
Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov has been on heavy rotation of late. His work with DJ Vidis their group Mario & Vidis is of very high high (yep. two highs) quality. He also lends his stealth fingers to the remixing duties this time to Crazy P (formerly Crazy Penis) with their track Changes.
French group Housse de Racket are going on tour and want everybody to party. So, naturally they release a free remix of one of their tracks to create some buzz. However, they get those fun American's Hey Champ to dissect the track. The song is insanely fun, as you would expect.
Sare Havlicek - Too Far Ahead (Feat. Mitja)
I must admit I had never heard of Sare Havlicek until I stumbled across him on Last Gas Station. Too Far Ahead is lush and summery, which is off his recently dropped second album 'Escape Machine' (must remember to grab this). This song does plenty.
Download this while you can. Vindata are some guys that have made an excellent remix for the Little Dragon song 'Little Man'. Really good. It could probably do without the exceptionally large pause at the end of the song though (pet hate). Actually, it could really do without that long pause, Fuck.
Bye for Now.
